Latest information about wooden weapon from 12.09.2024 is that work is in progress and 2nd patch arrival is estimated to October 2024. I try to make the order even bigger for October, please contact if needed during September.
Because of many reasons the carpenter was not able to make my 2023 Spring order until now. According to the latest info, the shipment is in 2 parts. 1. patch will arrived in end of June and 2. patch later because of manufacturing problems. Japanese white oak (shiragashi) is not available for longer weapons like Bo and will be left out from this order - replaced with more quantity of japanese red oak (akagashi) Bo:s. Also Murasaki Kokutan (purple ebony/iron wood) is available for normal size bokuto c.102cm daito(bokken) and c.56cm kodachi/shoto, so these items will be available limited edition finaly after many years.

PATCH 1: ARR 19.06.2024. Bokken Daito in white oak Kenmune 2.4shaku(102cm) and regular red oak 2.4shaku(102cm[sold out]), junior bokuto 90cm and 80cm(sold out), red oak kodachi(shoto 56cm) and white oak kenmune kodachi(shoto 56cm), Kiri Daito (102cm) and Murasaki Kokutan(purle eben) Daito 2.4shaku(102cm)(sold out) and murasaki kokutan kodachi(shoto 56cm). Regular white oak Jo 127cm also in this patch more (sold out).

PATCH 2: ETA 12/2024. There will be white oak weapons from size of Tanto to Jo. Red oak weapons from size of Tanto to Naginata. Many koryu bokuto will be available plenty, but due to the so many prehand orders it is not possible to make any pre-order - the amount available in stock will be determined after all pre-orders has been arranged.

Unfortunally some of the pre-order list customer details has been gone due to the cyber attack against my company - customer personal data or any other data was not leaked in any way, so you can feel safe with that. Personally I have been talking many times about customers pre-orders during past year, so I hope I can rememories all - if you are not contacted please let me know after a week of the arrival.

Special pre-orders will be included and some items will be available in stock later - website will be updated after receiving the items. There will be some new items like extra heavy Suburi Bokuto.

I am sorry that my 2023 Spring order has been postponed until 2024 midway which I have no effect - the reasons on carpenter side is understandable and I could not help the situation in any way. I am lucky finaly having more info of these great items in my selection and no replacement of out side of Japan is needed. I am lucky to be able to serve my customer with best quality on wooden weapons.

20 years of service for budo and koryu people! Unbelievable but true and huge thank you every customer. 2004 my company was established to serve all enthuasist of japanese martial arts. Company main principles was to serve with high knowhow, high quality products and reasonable prices - this still holds.
Lot of experience has been formed around this with the customers and the manufacturers in the World. For the anniversary year I have set up the goal of getting more and more info to my website to help every budoka/koryuka from a beginner to a master.

After Covid it has been difficult to get some of those products enough which has been huge part of the selections. Transportation and raw material has been many times an issue during 2023. Some of the manufacturers has discontinued during 2022-2023 because of this. For now it looks like most of the selection is available in future and new products will arrive annually - also to replace the missing items like protectors for kendo and iaido which are one field of discontinued manufacturing of professional maker.
Wooden weapons has not been available as much as needed due to the lack of raw material, high demand and transportation. Meijin Budoshop wooden weapon selection mainly stays at it is, but some materials might not be available or very rarely - February 2024 will tell more if some items will be discontinued. The master carpenter has had some manufacturing difficulties and this might affect to the future of japanese high quality wooden weapons also. Replacing of items with Finnish products or any other is possible and will be seen during 2024.
Overall my company has been growing during past year and all the available items in stock has been in better situation after 2022. There has been some development with resellers in Europe and the service network will be worked out during 2024 more and more.
